THE ORIGIN STORY
In 2016, a group of young people, facing the challenges of early recovery from substance use disorder, identified a missing link in their self-improvement journey. While the freedom from active addiction catalyzed profound changes to their newfound way of life, one area of personal growth remained unturned: their professional life.
Their need for professional mentorship in the pivotal phase of early recovery sparked the formation of Project Manifesto. Led by the vision of Senior Advisor, Daniel Hilferty, Sr., this group of recovering professionals became the grassroots pilot for the innovative program that exists today. The pilot group quickly demonstrated the impact of a professional development service on SUD outcomes. Their simultaneous successes in career and recovery maintenance underscored the relationship between purpose and health.
Now, motivated to provide others the professional mentorship afforded to them, Manifesto is led and operated by its original pilot members. Originally an informal coffee-shop process, Manifesto has evolved into a comprehensive coaching program that utilizes evidence-based practices within a diverse community of peers, mentors, advocates, and employer partners. Additionally, Manifesto operates as a consultation agency that creates recovery-ready workforces for employers.
